New Chickadee 5x5" oil on panel

A few weeks, months, (who's counting) ago I decided to do 100 chickadee paintings and post them on instagram. Why? I do love painting these little guys but what possessed me to try this 'challenge'. I did around 6 in a row then I painted cows, flowers, and a dog portrait. Go figure.

6x6" House Swallow, Oil on panel

I think this is a House Swallow or Tree Swallow. I took the reference photo myself at a bird reserve. They had these cool little white bird houses that I never saw before. I decided to place him on a rope for a little more interest. I also discovered I'm not really good at painting rope :(
